Morgner’s Role: Program Quality Assurance Management

Project Description:

The APM is an electric train system on a 2.25-mile elevated guideway with six stations–three outside the terminal loop and three inside. The project is anchored by the Aviation/96th station, a Consolidated Rent-A-Car Center (Conrac) and by the Intermodal Transportation Facilities West, which consists of pick-ups, drop-offs, parking, shuttle service, check-in, food services and shopping. The 33 sites in LAX’s central terminal area connect to airline terminals with a convenient pedestrian walkway system.

Morgner is providing construction quality management and quality records document administration for the project. Our early tasks and work efforts were setting up and establishing guidelines for performance-based monitoring, establishing the Developers Quality program and plan, Developers Design Quality plans, and the Developers Construction Quality Plan as well as construction support services with Building Information Modeling.
